chopsticks and cups. Yet instead of chatting, each of them lowers their head, staring at a mobile phone, and no

one says a single word. The title, 'A Gathering in the Age of Mobile Phones,' makes the scene both familiar and

thought-provoking.

Simple as it is, the picture conveys a profound message about modern life. What the artist intends to criticize is

the way smartphones have quietly invaded our face-to-face communication. People who sit together physically

are actually worlds apart emotionally, as their attention is captured by the tiny screens rather than the friends

beside them. The warmth that a gathering is supposed to bring is thus replaced by cold silence.

As far as I am concerned, such a phenomenon deserves our alarm. Convenient though smartphones are, they

should never become a barrier between us and those we love. Therefore, measures should be taken: we ought

to put our phones aside during gatherings and cherish real conversation. Only in this way can technology serve

us instead of enslaving us.

漏写评论段

反面示例：全文只有描述和寓意两段就收尾，读者看不到你的态度。改法是补第三段：‘As far as I

am concerned, we should put our phones aside during gatherings and cherish real conversation.’

同义句反复注水

反面示例：‘Phones are bad. Phones are really bad. Using phones too much is not good.’——三句
